Make no bones about it…Marvel is the reason that this website exists. It’s in the name M(arvel)U(niverse)Review! We are here to bring you all the great Marvel coverage that you know and love, and there is no more pure and direct coverage that I can give you, than what is going down at the Marvel booth…and at the panels, but we will talk about those tomorrow night…ish. For now though, I spent a hell of a lot of time at the Marvel booth. I met some amazing people, that I’ve seen for years, and finally had the chance to talk to, I bought awesome stuff, I played great games, and I almost won some stuff..but didn’t.
What in my mind is dead center in the Javitz Center, the Marvel Booth takes up a solid amount of space. The booth features a stage, a shop, a signing booth, a “freebies” table a section for Marvel Unlimited, sections for Contest of Champions, Lego Marvel, and a promo section for Jessica Jones, with a desk setup for picture taking. All over the place is incredible Marvel art. It’s a sight to behold…so behold it.
Contest of Champions
If you haven’t played Contest of Champions for mobile devices yet, here is what you need to know. You should. Also, it has an incredible roster of heroes and villains to fight, most recently including a made for game character, Venom, Female Thor, and so many more! Check out the images.
Well, I happened to be at the right place at the right time at Marvel. Chloe Bennet and Clark Gregg hanging out on stage, signing autographs with Jeph Loeb?!?! Sign me up!
Marvel is at the core of any Comic Con. And at the core of Marvel is the man pictured below. His name is Mike. He runs the booth like a well oiled machine! You can tell just by talking to him, he wants to make sure that every single human in or around that booth, has a great time, and will remember that their Marvel experience was top notch, best ever. From talking to fans and helping people, to chasing rogue Spider-Men off of signing stands, this is the man that makes the Marvel booth work. When you see him, wait till he’s done doing what he’s doing, go up to him, and thank him. It wouldn’t be the same without him. His team is also fantastic, but I wasn’t able to chase down everyone to get a name, so to be fair, I’ll include only him, but thank his team too! Thanks so much for the experiences sir! You’ve made my experience awesome for the last 5 years, and I know you’ve been running the show for longer than that! Also, to give the man a plug. He is the mastermind behind ACBC (Atlantic City Boardwalk Con). I’ve never been, but I’ve heard good things, and if he has that run as tightly as a Marvel booth, it’s a can’t miss for 2016!
