Minimates Wave 51 – Shanna The She-Devil and Savage Land Reaper

New York Comic Con 2013 was a crazy trip, tons of good info and a lot of fun.  We have some more Minimates info coming in, but for now, let’s get back to our regularly scheduled programming with a look at the Wave 51 pack of Shanna the She-Devil and the Savage Land Reaper.

Shanna The She-Devil

The Good:

  • Simple and understated, Shanna is not adorned with a significant amount of extras or spare parts, but that suits the character perfectly.
  • Outstanding art and body lines, sharp and …descriptive?….hehehehe…
  • Her spear fits her hands well.
  • Her knfie fits in the holster, that’s pretty much all I ever ask for!

The Bad:

  • Her loin cloth isn’t removable?  That’s perverse…nah.
  • …yeah…

Savage Land Reaper

The Good:

  • It’s always great to see a break from traditional molds, and in this case I mean the legs.  The backwards knee joints work out great here!
  • The way the wing pieces here fit together is nothing short of a work of art.
  • Reaper’s head does an excellent job of conveying ancient reptile.
  • As always we get excellent detail here, the raised lines on the head, the perfectly painted eyes and teeth, claws.

The Bad:

  • There isn’t anything here not to like.

Both

The Rest:

  • This is a pack  that will delight fans of the characters.  These are two excellent figures, but unless you are already a fan, I don’t think that either character is strong enough to pick up ‘just to have’…unless you are a completist…then, there you have it.
