Marvel Legends Marvel Knights 2017 Wave: Daredevil

Now…normally, we like to bring you these figures in waves wherever we can.  Hasbro surprised the heck out of us though, with a fantastic bag of great toys as a thank you for attending their NYCC 2017 event.  One of the great items in that bag, Marvel Knights Wave Daredevil!  In this wave, Hasbro addresses a solid chunk of the Netflix Marvel characters, and they do so with incredible faithfulness to character likeness.  But, is this Daredevil really the bees knees?  I’d suggest yes…but ultimately, I got to say “Bees knees”, so I win either way.

The Good

  • Exceptional Charlie Cox likeness is featured on the lower half of Daredevil’s face.  The technology Hasbro is using to create and design is at this point, hilariously good.
  • Costume is captured perfectly and in shocking detail, texture is present all over the place on this figure and it gives it a premium feel well north of it’s $19.99 price tag.
  • Included billy club fits perfect in DDs hand, and combines easily.  It stays connected snuggly, but also comes apart with little effort.
  • DD includes an alt set of fighty fist hands, good for punching other figures.
  • The paint application here is fine point.  I didn’t see any stray lines, there is a ton of sharp detail all over.
  • Back to the textures, there is so much going on with this character, armor texture, leather texture, everything is spot on here.
  • Articulation is solid featuring all of the modern points, I think the only thing not included is the butterfly chest joints.

The Bad

  • If ever a figure screamed for an alternate unmasked head…

The Rest

Daredevil did here what he did on Netflix, jumped the line and blew the doors off the building with awesome.  We are hoping and looking forward to reviewing the whole Marvel Knights Marvel Legends figure wave for you in the near future, but for now, Daredevil really steals the show all by himself.  This figure is just so faithful to the source material it’s crazy.  Probably going to need a Marvel Knights wave 2 though, for Luke Cage, Iron Fist…and hey, maybe Moon Knight.  I can wish, can’t I?
