All of us have read, seen or heard something that has had a lasting impact on us. I mean to the point where your heart actually races and you are left wondering if you really just saw what you thought you saw.
“The Walking Dead” #100 written/created by Robert Kirkman and with art by Charlie Adlard does all that and then some. If you aren’t familiar with the comic you probably at least know about the hit series on AMC. If you only watch the show you are missing out big time on one of the greatest comic book series of all time. You always expect big things from any issue #100 and this issue delivers.
Let’s just say this emotional roller coaster of a comic is the equivalent of having your heart ripped out of your chest, placed in a blender with hot sauce and put back neatly into place. I can honestly say the imagery of this issue is like nothing I have ever seen in a comic. The scenes in this book will stay burnt in my frontal lobe until the end of time.
Again, I always try to avoid real details of the books I write about or any kind of spoiler. I am going to hold true to that here. If you are a fan of the show or the comic this is a must buy/read. If you haven’t already go to your local comic book store and pick up this issue NOW!
That guy on the cover there, his name is Negan. If I said he was the most vile and disgusting character in all of comics that would be a gross understatement. He does something very very bad with that bat of his.
I will leave you with that. This is one for the ages and should not be missed by even the casual reader.
Honorable Mention: Spider-Men #3
