It was an honor to be invited to come down to Blogger Bash and Sweet Suite 2016. To then, receive a massive box of goodies after it was over. That is something else entirely. Now, unfortunately we can’t do an unboxing of each item, because the excitement was too intense and everything was ripped open immediately, but I did get some pictures, we did get a video of taking everything out of the big box, and we are thrilled to share it with you. Sweet Suite 2016 wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to our friends at Playmates. They were hanging out showing off all of the great Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys out now and yet to come for 2016. Let’s dive in.
Playmates hit the ground in 2016 running with great entries in their main TMNT line as well as the new Half Shell Heroes line. Find us now at mid-2016 and the Movie TMNT line is firing on all cylinders. You know it’s there, you know it’s great, but sometimes it takes seeing it on display all in one place to remember that. With the huge sewer play set, it’s really breathtaking.
They will expand their Half Shell Heroes line this year with a new series of construction turtles and a great new HSH sized sewer play set (check the gallery).
Also still on shelves are T-Blasters…you can shoot your friend with a turtle face! Don’t miss the stacking turtles and mini collectible turtles either.
2016 is going to continue to be a killer year for Playmates, and we hope to bring you some reviews at litlgeeks and MUReview.net soon!
MUReview.net went to Blogger Bash this year. One of the most fun parts of Blogger Bash, Sweet Suite! A gathering of great bloggers, good food and drink, and most importantly, toy companies showing us all that is coming out for the holiday! We had a great time, met a lot of great people, saw a TON of old friends in the toy biz, and we are thrilled to be able to share it all with you.
MUReview and litlgeeks got to talk to Magformers at Toy Fair 2016 where they showed us their exciting line of products featuring magnetized pieces that fold up and together into exciting shapes. At Sweet Suite they gave us a glimpse of new Half Shell Heroes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Magformers and walking robots! Magformers.com.

Thames & Kosmos
Before this show, didn’t know who Thames & Kosmos was. After, I’m a huge fan. As shown in the images below, you’ll find what I think might be the most awesome toy of the show, Happy Atoms. Now, don’t get me wrong, I loved most of what I saw, a lot of great toys, a lot of great educational opportunities. Happy Atoms though took education and fun to the next level by using physical toys, mixing with digital mediums and pouring in a ton of education about a topic that is often overlooked because it can be so intimidating. Chemistry. Happy Atoms comes in a few different levels of kits offering various numbers of molecules and bonds that allow the player to link together molecules. Once a molecule is complete, they can scan it into an app and learn about what they have created. Going further, the player is brought to a molecule map that guides play and education. Also to note, there is an Indiegogo campaign out to support the game, which is already set for production, so it will be made funded or not.

Jakks being the owner of the red hot Tsum Tsum property, showed off a ton of great Tsum Tsums including their SDCC 2016 exclusive Captain America!
Sweet Suite 2016 came at a weird time for us….a time of Pokemon Go! Probably the craziest launch of any app / game ever. MUReview and litlegeeks…well? We are on board, full steam ahead. In fact, litlninja, the older litlgeek has been on the Pokemon train since he was about 4. On this train, you best believe we have a health stash of Pokemon cards, video games, and of course, TONS of toys, all from our friends at Tomy…well, they made them. We bought them. It’d be awesome if we could review some Tomy Pokemon toys in the future, they have a ton of great stuff coming out, including Throw ‘N’ Pop Poke Balls and an interactive My Friend Pikachu!
Outside of Pokemon, Tomy has some awesome Zootopia toys, John Deere licensed Monster Treads, tons of great Miles from Tomorrowland, and GearForce HorsePower toys! Please feel free to dive into the rest in the gallery. You can also check out more Sweet Suite coverage here!
