When the original Street Fighter II game launched in the ’90s, it changed the face of fighting games forever, introducing some of the most iconic video game characters and special moves of all time. If you’re familiar with video games, you may have heard of Ryu, Ken or the legendary HADOKEN!
With the power of Nintendo Switch, the new single- and multiplayer modes in Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers can be played anywhere! New and returning features in the game include the following:
Co-Op Battle: In this new mode, players can join forces in teams of two as they battle together against a computer-controlled opponent. Players share a health bar and can coordinate attacks to perform powerful combos.
“Way of the Hado”: In “Way of the Hado” mode, players can fight enemies in first-person using the Joy-Con controllers. Iconic special moves like the HADOKEN can be activated using the motion controls of the Joy-Con.
Two graphic modes: With the simple push of a button, players can change between the game’s classic pixel art and modern high-definition graphics.
Arcade Mode returns: The classic Arcade Mode returns in Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. After battling through all the computer-controlled characters in the game, players can view character-specific endings.
Color Editor: Customize characters and costume colors using this new mode. Players can now bring their favorite character into battle with more style and personality than ever before!
Art Gallery: In between exciting matches, players can check out the digital art gallery included in the game. With more than 1,500 illustrations created by talented artists over the past 30 years, the artbook features many never-before-published pieces from Street Fighter‘s past.
Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is now available in stores as well as Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
Remember that Nintendo Switch features parental controls that let adults manage some of the content their children can access.
Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 2 2017: Gamora
Today we have a look at Gamora from the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy 2017 Wave 2 lineup. A reminded thank you to Hasbro for sending us this whole wave for free to review for everyone out there in Internet land! Gamora saw her role well expanded in 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. Her relationship with her sister Gamora gets so much more depth and she is brought more to life as a character. Hasbro picked up that ball and ran with it for the figure. Our first look at Gamora in 6 inch plastic was the 2014 movie figure release, our second, the Guardians box set release (comic version), and this is now our third go round for Gamora. While the comic version will never be supplanted as my favorite, this Gamora improves dramatically on all points over the 2014 release. I’m a little bummed I don’t still have the previous figure to compare (kids), but it is funny to read how much I thought the 2014 figure looked like Zoe Saldana, without comparison, I see it, but now…compared to this absolute beauty of a figure it definitely doesn’t hold up! Before we take a swim in the pool of Gamora, let me thank Hasbro for sending to us for free!
Hasbro is making real people faces and they look amazing in 2017. Likeness to Zoe is brilliant, dead on.
All of the etching and sculpting detail in Gamora’s face looks movie perfect.
Another great female character is brought to us, thankfully without heels on her shoes! No issues standing with good balance here.
Inclusion of both the short and extended swords here is really cool. Especially since the short sword can be holstered.
Gamora also gets a nice gun to reminisce back to the start of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.
Gamora features solid articulation across the board.
Gamora’s heair looks amazing in both sculpt detail and color.
The coat this figure wears is movie perfect, looks great, and allows for full movement of all limbs. I love the flare out effect!
Gamora’s hair limits head movement.
Keeping the collapsed sword holstered is a little tricky, it tends to pop out.
Gamora is a beautiful figure. Another achievement in Hasbro’s ability to capture the look and essence of a real life person on a movie screen and bring them down to the plastic level. Hasbro’s treatment of Gamora is incredibly faithful and it’s tough to ask for more when you get something this good.
By early accounts it looks like Gamora could be one of the trickier figures to find in this wave. She’s sold out at BigBadToyStore, and even with aftermarket pricing she’s back ordered till August 31 on Amazon from “other sellers”. Let that date sink in a bit before you go crazy though. Hunt by all means, but it’s possible that full stock refresh across the board is coming later this summer, hopefully sooner. Don’t pay more than retail! Keep your eyes on Target, Walmart, Toys R Us and talk to the fine folks at your favorite local comic shop! Gamora will be yours!

Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 2 2017 : Rocket and Groot
Welcome to the Frickin Marvel Legends toy line, first ever fully articulated Rocket! (only he didn’t say ‘frickin’). Rocket comes to us in this second Guardians of the Galaxy wave of 2017 with his little buddy Groot all dolled up in Ravager gear. MUReview wants to thank Hasbro once again for sending us the second wave of Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends as we dive into this Rocket Raccoon figure. He’s awesome, he’s furry (plastic furry), he’s got the Galaxy’s favorite little Groot, and he’s ready to steal some batteries! Note – not stolen, this Rocket figure. Hasbro sent him to us for free to review for you!
Rocket is fully articulated! Elbows, knees, ankles, thigh cuts, shoulders, torso, hips, tail. Hasbro really stepped to the challenge of making a fully articulated Rocket and knocked it out of the park (with one exception – see “The Bad”).
Rocket comes with a second head. Each head has a unique Rocket-like expression.
Rocket has 2 guns that fit perfectly in his hands.
Hasbro has done an excellent job of capturing movie Rocket in all of his detailed glory.
Rocket’s fur is well sculpted and rich in detail.
Groot is along for the ride in his oh-too-adorable Ravager outfit. He looks great! Hasbro was able to pack in a ton of detail and paint work on a very tiny piece.
BAF piece included here is Mantis’s torso.
No articulated jaw. A whole second head instead of an articulated jaw. I see why they did it, but the jaw, it looks, almost like it is articulated…but it’s not.
Yer gonna need to buy this. It’s Rocket at his finest, and Groot at his cutest. With two heads, you have solid display value for Rocket. Overall value is here too, Hasbro did an excellent job of packing in a bunch of pieces for this package that will delight collectors and kids alike! They had to! This is a sure-to-be-asked-for young child purchase, as well as a collector purchase. It features the films most lovable characters, both really well executed by Hasbro, so, get to hunting!
I can’t find this little guy on Amazon anywhere. BigBadToyStore has him available for pre-order though! Keep your eye on local store shelves over the next month or two as well, and don’t pay more than MSRP ($19.99), because I’m sure you will get your shot at this if you are patient!
