Sometimes, crazy amazing packages full of more stuff than we can even imagine show up on our doorstep.  This was one of those sometimes!  Our amazing friends at Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and TT Games sent us a box full of so much awesome for free, we had to split it into four videos!  All four videos / posts are accessible by the links at the top.  For now,  let’s see what the litlgeeks thought of The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame for Playstation 4!

What to Expect

If you’ve played a LEGO game before, you know you can expect the LEGO video game experience!! Break stuff, collect studs, upgrade, battle, FUN FUN FUN!

Graphics

  • Exceptional, movie realistic graphics, beautiful animations, if you saw it on the screen in The LEGO Ninjago Movie, you will see it on screen in the game!
  • On Playstation 4, we have an incredibly sharp looking game here!

Gameplay

  • TT Games introduces a rich and deep, brand spankin’ new combat system full of great combos and attacky goodness!
  • The game starts you out in a tutorial dojo so you can learn all of it’s new neat tricks!
  • Enemies that block force you to plan and adjust your attacks.
  • Stud collecting is a little different this time.  In previous LEGO titles, you had to collect studs on a per-level basis.  Now, that lovely stud meter fills up and follows you throughout the game unlocking rewards and gold bricks!
  • Just like in LEGO Dimensions, The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame packs arenas!  1-4 players can fight it out in brick bashing fun!
  • Unlocking is still all the rage here, but you get what you unlock right away, without having to stud purchase!

The litlgeeks are still playing The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame  after a long weekend of unboxing, movie going, and game playing.  They are still just scratching the surface though.  The story mode is 8 chapters long and they are 2.5 chapters in, but battling and the dojos will keep them coming back and building and breaking for months.  The litlgeeks give this stunning LEGO game, 2 thumbs up!

The LEGO Ninjago Movie for Nintendo Switch

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame PS4 | The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame Switch | The LEGONinjago Movie Review | LEGO Ninjago Minifigures

The litlgeeks had a blast this weekend thanks to Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and TT Games, who sent us a whole box of goodies, including The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame for the Nintendo Switch.  Now, we opened the game not expecting it to be much different from the Playstation 4 version, and we were, at least for our eyes, entirely right!

What to Expect

If you read our other review on the PS4 version of the game, everything we said, holds true.  We aren’t going to change any of it, because it is the same game.  It looks and feels the same!  I think load times might be a little longer in a few places, but we really didn’t see much difference.  However, what we did notice, and what we are still noticing today.  When you play The LEGO Ninjago Videogame for the Nintendo Switch, you can do something here that you can’t anywhere else…you can PLAY anywhere else!  Take your Switch, and The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame with you wherever you go, and bash and collect bricks along the way! (don’t bash and drive!).

  • The litlgeeks love their Switch in all it’s forms, but the most fun is on the couch, with a big screen, and the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller!
